ST. ELIZABETH ACADEMY KAREN: PRIMARY SECTION
St Elizabeth academy Karen is a modern child friendly private school established back in 1999 in Karen. The school is based on a strong catholic faith and it extends an olive branch to other faiths. It is a mixed day and boarding school operating from preschool to standard eight.

To transform its community, teachers/students/support staff, one at a time so that our faith is God, zeal, service and leadership – all directed towards eradication of illiteracy poverty and service to humanity.

Our school motto dictates our unique lifestyle that creates a conducive and friendly teaching and learning environment to all irrespective of tribe, race, social class or religion.
PUPILS BODY
We have a pupil’s government as per the requirement of the ministry of the ministry of education. Our pupils practice democracy by electing their leaders. The pupil’s body is therefore headed by an elected president. Other elected leaders include the deputy president, members of national assembly (class prefects) and the school speaker. This organization prepares our learners for future leadership.
MEALS
The school provides a well balanced diet of:
- carbohydrates: ugali, rice, chapatti, mukimo
- proteins: beef, eggs, chicken, beans, green grams and milk
- vitamins: fresh fruits and vegetables from our school farm
- purified water and iodized salt
The school buses are available for the day scholars and also for educational trips and co- curricular activities.

CO –CURRICULLAR ACTIVITIES
Our learners have varied talents which we help develop and nurture through outdoor activities such as football, volleyball, athletics, swimming and music festivals. They are also enrolled in clubs such as scouting, Red Cross and environmental club.
SPIRITUALITY
Founded on Roman Catholic faith, our school philosophy, rules and regulations, have been formed, implemented and evaluated in line with the accepted church doctrines, considering other faiths too. We have mass on Thursdays and Sundays. Catechism classes are offered to catholic pupils. Muslim students have private room for prayers.
